Kingdom Builders Since 1997

Founded in June 1997 on the Mississippi Gulf Coast,

The Tabernacle of Faith Ministries has grown from a small gathering of believers

into a thriving community dedicated to establishing the Kingdom of God in every life, home, and community.

OUR HISTORY

Where It All Began

The Tabernacle of Faith Ministries was founded in June 1997 by Pastor Lloyd Capers and Minister Anthony Thompson under the name Faith, Hope, and Deliverance Church. In 2000, recognizing its expanding vision and scope, the church was renamed The Tabernacle of Faith Ministries.

A significant milestone came in 2002 when Anthony Thompson was appointed Senior Pastor — a testament to his leadership and commitment to the ministry’s values. In May 2003, the acquisition of the building at 3280 39th Avenue provided a dedicated place for worship, community engagement, and outreach.

Through weekly worship services, seminars, workshops, and the cultivation of relationships, the ministry is actively engaged in the transformative work of renewing minds and bringing victory to every area of life — spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

What We Are Called to Do

I

Establish the Kingdom

Our vision is to establish the Kingdom of God in the lives of God’s children — making disciples of all men and spreading the love of Christ to every person, family, and community.

II

Train Victorious Sons

We train victorious Sons of God — men of valor and women of virtue — to aggressively pursue and destroy the works of the enemy through the power and authority of Jesus Christ.

III

Restore & Rebuild

As we destroy the strongholds in people’s minds, we restore, rebuild, and replenish them with the Word of God — honoring God’s Great Commission and carrying the Gospel to the world.

IV

Preach the Gospel

As Jesus commissioned — we preach the gospel to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, bring deliverance to the captives, and set at liberty those who are bruised. Not in words only, but with action.

“Shifting people from religion to relationship, from a distant deity to an indwelling Father, from form to family.”
